Brainstorm with your group a list of topics for possible podcasts that you might be interested in producing or would like to see added to Arkansas on iTunes U. Consider topics that you are always looking for more information on or topics from other resources that never seem to meet the needs of your students. Someone should get with Steve Kelsey and Meme Hagers (who produced the Down Home in the Arkansas a few years ago) and have them put the Arkansas State songs on podcasts for teachers to use. They could create a version where they talk about the history of the song and then perform it and also include a soundtrack version for teachers to use in the classroom.

Many of our Arkansas music teachers have wonderful professional development presentatios that could be placed on ITunes U for the benefit of all our teachers. ArkMEA, an Arkansas music organization could be contacted for these presentations.

Instructional videos on assisting beginning band students on how to get initial sounds on their instruments and demonstrations showing proper playing and breathing techniques. This could also include the proper care of the instrument such as putting the instrument together.
